In a sane, humane world, the headline would be 19 arrests for executing civilians without trial.

But Pupul Chatterjee (@pupulchatterjee) shares the news from the Staffordshire Police that 19 people have been arrested at the UAV Engines factory in Shenstone, Staffordshire, owned by Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit. (see an earlier post on a sister site). On the Birmingham Eastside website via The Brummie aggregator, she reports:

Chief Inspector Steve Smith, Staffordshire Police said: “In response to breaches of a High Court order and some public order offences a total of 19 persons (18 male, 1 female) were arrested. Those arrested remain in police custody and will be questioned about offences this evening.”

Three other protest sites included Instro Precision in Broadstair, Kent; Elite KL in Tamworth and a site in Melbourne, Australia.

Year after year these protests are made, but the barbaric killing goes on.
